I am a committed and dedicated tutor and I love the one-on-one working environment that allows me to assist students to perform at the best of their ability. I earned my master's degree in Curriculum Development at the University of Michigan. In Colorado, I had the opportunity to teach classrooms of third through sixth graders, where the students all mastered each level of material. My colleagues commented that I had prepared my students well for their next grade. I like to work on organization tools and study skills with students that allow homework and tests to be less time consuming and stressful. I work on memory techniques with my students because a strong memory helps to increase test scores. I have experience working at acute care hospitals as a support person, where I needed excellent punctuation, grammar, and spelling. I work with students to aide in their mastery in the basics of English in order for them to develop into more effective writers and to increase their grades on writing projects. My role as a tutor is to assist the student in their personal goals because the student and their family are my clients. I will make the goals of the student my primary focus to ensure that I provide the help that will create the biggest impact in their academic goals. I would like to work together with your student to make those academic goals a reality.
